Why this course

Pool and spa work carries risks that many other trades don't face in a single day: excavation, heavy machinery, electrical equipment, confined spaces and pool chemicals, often on a client's property with the public nearby. This course introduces the core principles of Work Health and Safety as they apply to pool builders and service technicians. Learners will explore the WHS legal framework, identify workplace hazards, understand how dangerous goods and hazardous substances are classified and managed, and apply a structured approach to assessing and controlling risk on the construction site and in the field.
